It might still be dumping snow in the mountains here (They said one the news tonight that down near Mt. Rainier it is 130% of a normal snow pack in the Cascades!) but yet spring is showing up….eventually 😉 And that means it is time to start thinking about hiking and backpacking season.
Coming up on April 29th, 2009 we will be putting on a trail cooking presentation in Issaquah, Washington for the Foothills Mountaineers Branch.
This is a open to the public branch meeting. The neat thing is it is held just around the corner from the REI…..do a little learnin’, do some shopping!
We would love to see you there. It will be held at King County Library Systems (KCLS) Service Center in Issaquah. (This is the large admin building not the library and is on Newport Way, down near Target and REI). See the link above for time and more details.
(PS: There will be more regional Washington State trail food/cooking presentations coming up this spring and summer. We will announce them as the dates are set and links are up!)
