Food Finds: Nescafe Coffee Sticks
May 12th, 2009 by Sarah
This is a food find for the frugal and those wanting to save money.

Each box of 7 single serving packets runs for 98 cents at Wal-Mart. Less than a dollar for 7 cups of coffee is a bargain. No mess, no fuss. Simply rip open and add to hot water (or better to your hot chocolate for a Trash-Mocha).
The Nescafe Taster’s Choice packets come in a couple varieties from the mild original seen above to a bolder Colombian. They also come in decaffeinated (gasp! take out the good stuff? That should be a crime!) and in Vanilla and Hazelnut flavors.
True it isn’t gourmet by any means but it is also very affordable. Sure, who wouldn’t prefer to sip on Starbuck’s VIA™ but at $1 per packet…if you are watching your wallet this summer, you could have a weeks worth of coffee instead. Just don’t forget the sweetener
And PS: They do offer a coupon for buy one, get one free as well if you give them your email!

Nescafe’s 3 in 1 sticks include creamer and sugar, and I think are even cheaper. You can buy them in boxes in Uwajimaya in Seattle (these packets are popular in Asia). or buy them online on Amazon:

I usually “spike” these with some instant espresso, since I need a bit more caffeine in the morning….
Yep! Love those as well! I worked for the local Thai importer, Importfood.com, for a couple years everyone I hiked with had Thai 3 in 1 coffee packets on every trip
Good stuff. I also love the instant espresso powder – QFC and WinCo carry it!
