Another re-do recipe – in our book we have a cheesy grits recipe so this is a close version to it, yet different. The recipe I tweaked needed a bit more flavor – sure bacon and cheese add flavor, but I was craving a little more depth to it. See the recipe on TrailCooking for Cheesy Bacon Grits.
Packed it weighs in at 5.8 ounces for a two person breakfast. You could lower the weight easily by swapping in say 1/4 cup of freeze-dried cheese. As for the serving size….two normal adults….1 logger gut serving for chow hounds – it makes a lot more than the dry size says it will!

After being prepared:

The recipe has the three methods for preparing it – be it FBC, in a mug or in your pot!
