Favorite Photos Of Trail Cooking
Aug 10th, 2009 by Sarah
I was going through my photos from the past years when I came across some that have been favorites – due to the trip or where we were.
This one was a trip a couple years ago along the Elwha River. They had air dropped in a big pile of lumber that made a great table to have a spread on:

Lots to choose from, from no cook salads:

To hot pasta!

Ford and Maddie sitting in the meadow waiting for lunch:

We often have winter trips in February on the Olympic Coast. Getting ready to make dinner!
Mrs and Mr. Hoosierdaddy, Pixie and Rainrunner with Marzsit to the far right:

On a trip in the mountains of Olympic NP. It was a cold June (or July), snowing. So we hid in a historical wind break and had dinner out of the wind/snow/rain. Mtnwlker, Ford and Hoosierdaddy:

In Seattle Park of Mt. Rainier NP, getting ready to make dinner:

A couple years ago on the PCT, setting up camp and making dinner:

Rainrunner getting water out of a lonely lake on the PCT:

Ldyblade and Rainrunner on the edge of a lonely meadow having dinner:

Hoosierdaddy and Mtnwlker around our tiny fire on a very cold January night:

Hoosierdaddy and Ford on Humes Ranch cabin in the Olympic NP:

One of our FBC cozies in use:

Jared, me and HD with our UL Cozies in camp:

Trail baking doing it the steam method:

HD’s very famous DIY duct tape spoon!

A meal I ate with a large raven above my head telling me to leave, but to leave the food behind…..Asian Inspired Chicken and Veggies:

Fresh ground black pepper on Chicken and Dumplings:

Biscuits and Gravy!

Hoosierdaddy loading up a cracker:

Preacher joining in with us:

My cracker with cheese topping (yes, it was THAT cold to need gloves!):

My Primus tea kettle boiling me breakfast water……

Last but not least? Making pancakes!
