New Gear: To Go Ware Utensils

Back in June of last year I had written a quick blog on To Go Ware’s RePEaT utensil sets. Yesterday I was out running errands and stopped into REI. I finally decided to pick up a set of the utensils, they had been calling me long enough. I got a set wrapped in a hot pink carrier (er, they call it Beet but lets be real!), that way the guys won’t borrow it from me 😉

Even better REI had them a bit on sale, just under $10 for the whole set.Bamboo is safe for non stick cooking pots – though I would still avoid using a fork in your pot no matter what. Too easy to gouge a lining.

Fully loaded is 1.6 ounces, remove the small carabiner on the back and it weighs 1.5 ounces.

Spoon is 0.3 of an ounce. Deep bowl with a curve in the handle for easy grasping.

Fork is 0.3 of an ounce. While not serrated for cutting, this will separate food. Is designed to balance well in your fingers.

Knife is 0.3 of an ounce. 3 deep tines for grabbing onto noodles, also with a curve in the handle for easy grasping.

Chopsticks are 0.4 of an ounce. They have a nice twist at the top for easy handling.

To give a better idea of what comes in it, see below:
