Food Find: Go Picnic Peanut Butter + Crackers

Awhile back I spied in one of the local Cost Plus World Markets part of the Go Picnic line. I had heard of them before but had not seen them sold, so I picked up a couple varieties. Walker and I split a Peanut Butter + Crackers kit for lunch today which I have to say he loved it. I could barely keep him out of it! Si lets just up front if you have little ones these kits are perfect. They may not be the cheapest ($5 for the peanut one) but they contain name brand items that all taste delicious. In an easy to grab kit, shove in a backpack and go. The goodies don’t get crushed either, they have a lightweight box to protect them. That in itself is part of the charm – the packaging. Having two children and having hiked with many more there is something special about pulling out a shiny colorful box and saying “This is all YOURS!”.

The box pops open on the side, with the cheddar bunnies on top for protection:

It even includes a tiny spork that folds in half (and is designed nicely – no sharp pointy tines):

Even better the peanut butter was by Peanut Butter & Co:

The meal was free of artificial colorings and flavorings as well. And the PB squeezed out without needing a knife, although the spork handle could have doubled.

Many items from Go Picnic’s line can also be found on Amazon (some with Prime shipping, making them a good deal).

  1. I’m glad to see a good review of these. I’ve been wanting to try them for awhile, especially since I’ve heard they have some gluten-free picnics as well. I’m always on the lookout for gluten-free convenience foods.

We'd love to hear your thoughts!
