Food Find: Zesty Nacho Kale Chips

I am not a huge Kale fan. I try and try to at least like it (love ain’t ever happening) but I do like homemade Kale chips. For some reason it doesn’t taste so…errr….vibrant of Kale 😉 So…with trepidation I tried out Rhythm Superfoods Kale Chips in Zesty Nacho. The chips are raw (they are air-crisped at low temperature), vegan and organic. And oddly delicious! Helping is that the chips (pieces of Kale) are enrobed in powdery goodness. Helps block that ol’ green taste. A bit spicy, cheezy and for being raw a bag has good stats. Each 2 ounce bag is 2 servings, each one is 220 calories, 10 grams fat (from nuts/seeds). 190 mg sodium, 5 grams fiber and 9 grams protein. And should you crush the heck-ola out of them they would make a great topping for rice and pasta dishes or to add to a nut trail mix.

Find them in natural food store or online….they are not cheap, at a little over $5 a bag, but worth it for a new kind of snack.
