In my never-ending quest to find new nibbles, I came across the Simply Sprouted Way Better Snacks this week. I picked up two of the 6 flavors to try out -
They are an interesting “chip”. Crunchy but not overly hard (I really dislike tortilla chips that feel like you are going to lose a filling!). They scoop up dinner perfectly, without getting soggy or breaking. One complaint my husband often has about trail food is the lack of texture, which is the price to pay for dehydrated food. It tends to be soft n’ mushy. So for him I try to think crunchy side items – be it veggies or chips or whatever. These passed the test. They worked great for scooping up brown rice! The chips are made with sprouted quinoa and sprouted chia seed. Junk food is still junk food, it is nice to have better options – the ingredient list is short, the fat content and calories are middle of the road, lower in sodium and no questionable ingredients. Non-GMO, Vegan, Kosher and Gluten-free.
