In the fall of 2007, when I finally finished the prototype of what would become the FBC Cozy, my life was a lot different.
I had one child, who was in elementary school. I now have three children, 17, 5, and 3. I had a lot more time then. We cut, sewed and sold thousands upon thousands of them.
But as many have noticed, since late winter, I have pulled the cozies. My good friend Dani was sewing them for us, for the past 2 or so years. She had a bump in her free time (she bought a house!), which is why we went out of production.
~ And hiking on Sunday was way more fun with her than sewing anyways…….
So this leads me to something – I do not have the time with 3 children to produce my creation. We get email after email asking when we will resume production. It isn’t that I don’t want to make them, if I had more time I would. Having said that….I have given Dani my blessings, my permission and more so, all my hand crafted patterns to do what she wants with it. In the coming months, it will happen. And heck, they may even be better – you never know 😉 Once Dani goes live with them, down the road, I will link out to her for our readers to source them.
It still feels pretty awesome to know that one little idea that popped into my head….that I was able to create it, and bring it to the market. And that so many of you supported us in it! Till then…may you all be safe on the trail and have stellar views!
