Are you looking for a sweetener that is entirely different? That is natural, and not fake? That is US grown, and is also organic? Meet D’vash Organics Date Nectar – and it comes in sticks, exactly to how you have seen honey. Each stick has about ¾ teaspoon in it. The perfect amount for a cup of tea – or even coffee. Or for drinking on its own, as a energy boost. D’vash is offering a 25% off coupon so you can try it, code is “DVASH_TC”.
We paired the date nectar with rice, coconut milk, cherries & hemp seeds for a morning meal, that is a bit different from oatmeal. It is also allergy friendly, since we don’t keep tree nuts or sunflower seeds in the house due to our youngest son’s allergies, we have found hulled hemp seeds to be a great substitute. It is getting more common to find in many stores , though Amazon is the easiest source. Hemp is considered to safe for drug tests if you are concerned, before consuming. I do suggest you buy from a Canadian brand, and if you are as passionate as I am, consider this petition to let America grow hemp again for food. Hemp seeds are nutty and warm tasting – and taste amazing in pesto I might add!
