Fundraiser For My Kitchen Outreach
As the fires burn up along I-84 along the Columbia River Gorge, taking some of the prettiest trails in Oregon, such as the Eagle Creek Trail, which was often the highlight of the Pacific Crest Trail, as one’s time in Oregon wound down. It’s also threatening many small towns, such as Cascade Locks, and is estimated it could burn into October. It’s a rural area, and people are being heavily affected by it.
Our longtime friend Perry has been serving up hot meals to the evacuated & volunteers, on the Washington side of the river. It’s free to whoever needs it, but donations are desperately needed. As a back story, I first met Perry through hiking. He was a chef planning a PCT trip, and he let me use a number of his recipes on the website and in our books.
Kirk and I recently came across a small box of our first book, Freezer Bag Cooking: Trail Food Made Simple, that had gotten lost in our home. We are hosting a fundraiser for Perry’s organization with these copies. All proceeds after shipping will be donated promptly. We have 10 copies, all of which will be personally autographed (and we are happy to sign them as you direct, during checkout) and shipped out quickly via USPS. United States customers only, due to the shipping cost.
$25 each. Includes shipping. About $20 to $22 of each book will be donated. Yes, we do realize you can get a copy of our time-proven best seller on Amazon for a lot less, however this is a win-win! You get a book (Holidays are coming soon!) and you help out a great organization.
To get your copy, use the “buy button” below for quick checkout.
