Hot, chocolaty and molten. That to me is just what dessert should be.
Packit Gourmet’s Molten Chocolate Lava Cakes steam ‘baked’ in silicone baking cups. Easy to do and the baking cups are easy cleanup (the concept of the baking cups I covered earlier as part of the Fauxbaker setup).
I used my favorite silicone cups, Wilton’s Silly Feet (find at craft stores and kitchen stores).
I steamed them for 7 minutes after coming to a boil (lowering the heat), with the lid on. Then I let sit for a couple minutes as directed.
The smell? Fantastic. Taste? Oh baby. Molten in the middle, cake on top. Like cake and pudding together.
Definitely a worthy and really cool/easy trail dessert.
